Taking part in shaping the Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway

The Delhi-Amritsar-Katra expressway is one of the vital road projects which passes through four major Indian states, Jammu and Kashmir, Haryana, Punjab and Delhi, connecting people and places. This project is expected to minimise the travel time between Delhi, Amritsar and Katra in Jammu.

This expressway will also boost connectivity to prominent religious places like Amritsar and Vaishno Devi temples in Punjab and Jammu & Kashmir. The National Highway Authority of India has taken up this project under Bharatmalapariyojana.

The MEIL is a crucial partner in the construction of the Delhi-Amritsar-Katra expressway. The company is laying the 44-km-long six-lane road from Balusa village near Pathankot in Punjab to Heeranagar road junction near Kathua in Jammu.

The construction works are ongoing in a rapid phase. Once this Greenfield expressway is ready, it will enhance trade and transport facilities for Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Jammu, and Kashmir.
