The MEIL is playing a crucial role in developing the advanced infrastructure in Bihar. It has already executed a significant drinking water project in the state and is now constructing several road network projects.

Under the BRT (Backward Area, Religious, Tourist) scheme, the company is constructing and upgrading the 45 Km stretch of NH-227A from Siwan to Mashrakh into a four-lane highway. The project also includes the construction of a four-lane of Tanrwa/Siwan bypass on NH-531. The MEIL is executing this project under Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM).

Employment generation while executing project and better road connectivity along with the overall development of the regions are some of the significant contributions of the project.
