Drillmec S.p.A is a global giant providing innovative solutions in the hydrocarbons sector. Incorporated under the Italian laws, Drillmec has its registered office in Podenzano, Italy, and the Megha Engineering & Infrastructures Ltd (MEIL) acquired it in 2020. Presently, it is a wholly-owned company of the MEIL.
The company is a global leader in designing, manufacturing, and supplying drilling and workover rigs for onshore and offshore applications. It also manufactures spare parts for drilling equipment. It enjoys a worldwide reputation for reliability, extensive engineering development, timely deliveries, and effective after-sale services.
Drillmec has subsidiary companies such as DM International, DM Inc USA, Seismotecknica, DM Oman. These companies have been producing and supplying the most advanced drilling rigs (offshore and onshore) for major national and private oil & gas companies since the 1990s. The companies have delivered close to 600 rigs to date.
The company has manufacturing and assembling units in Piacenza (Italy), Houston (USA), Gomel (Belarus), and Hyderabad (India). In addition, it carries out drilling activities across 60 countries.
Drillmec manufactures equipment (mast & subs, draw works, rotary tables, top drives, power catwalk, stinger, MCC & PCR, etc.) and oil drilling rigs ranging from 1,500-HP-capacity to 2,000-HP-capacity, which can drill up to 6,000 metres. These rigs can operate between temperatures of +60 degrees to -60 degrees Celsius.
The company continues to deliver rigs with innovative and advanced technology to the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) in India and international players like Pemex, Saudi Aramco and Aker BP.
