• The MEIL bagged the Enertia Award for 'Manufacturing, Technology and Enterprise Innovation' in the year 2014. The award has been conferred for the 50-MW Concentrated Solar Thermal Power (CSP) plant at Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh in India. This is one of the first solar thermal power plants under the National Solar Mission Phase-I.
• KPMG, a global consulting firm, recognised the MEIL's Canal-top Solar Power Project as one of the Top 100 most innovative and impactful infrastructure projects in the world in 2015. This 10-MW solar power project has been constructed over the River Narmada in Vadodara, Gujarat.
• The MEIL entered Limca book of records in 2016 for integrating rivers Krishna and Godavari, within one year, in Andhra Pradesh. For completing the project on time, the company received a special performance bonus from the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
• Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL) conferred 'Utkrushtatha Puraskar' and a special award to the MEIL for constructing its 400/220- kV substation at NP Kunta in a record time of seven months.
• The PGCIL conferred 'Sahabhagita Puraskar' for laying the transmission lines in the 400/765-kv its project at NP Kunta.
• The NP Kunta 400-kV substation project in Andhra Pradesh executed for PGCIL has been completed in a record time of seven months. The feat was recorded in the India Book of Records, the Asia Book of Records and the Limca Book of Records.
• Commissioned India's first Ultra mega project transmission line at Mundra in Gujarat, for the PGCIL.
• Received award from National Safety Council for achieving Occupational Health & Safety Assessment Series – OHSAS:18001:2007 Certification
• Ranked 19th in the telecom sector during the companies survey conducted by IPSOS for the Business World magazine
• Excellence in Electronics Award by the Government of India
• Commitment for Quality award by the Global Quality Management, Geneva
